Chef Jean-Francois Poinard’s Body Found In Girlfriend’s Freezer

Police discovered the body of French chef Jean-Francois Poinard hidden in a freezer, two years after he went missing.

Guylene Collober, 51, became drunk and revealed to her daughter that “something unfortunate” had happened to the French chef. Her daughter told police who raided the apartment on Tuesday.

When police arrived, Collober cried and stated, “I think you’ll find what you’re looking for.”

Poinard’s body was found hidden in a chest freezer in the fetal position and covered with plastic bags.  And Collober confessed to fatally punching Poinard, 71, in November 2008.

She reportedly left his body in the bathtub for a few days before buying a chest freezer where she stored Poinard’s body.

Prosecutor Marc Desert describes Collober as a person with “pathological tendencies, narcissistic, possessive and violent.”

“She isolated her partner from his friends, his family, the neighbors,” he said, adding that the victim was often seen in the neighborhood sporting bruises and other marks.
