Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron annouces in the December issue of Vogue magazine (pictures below) that she is single for the first time in her adult life: "This is the first time in my life. From the time I was nineteen, I've been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month."
She added that her recent breakup from 10-year boyfriend Stuart Townshend has been a positive experience: "It's been good for me. I'm a creature who's really found her comfort zone in relationships. It's been nice to rediscover myself. I had to make a real conscious effort to do it - it's hard. It's much easier to lose yourself in flowers and cigarettes and coffee with somebody else."
While not providing any actual details, Theron says she pulled back on her career to try to save their relationship: "It was sinking, and I had to give it a fight. I really wanted to try and make it work. That was the priority. I wouldn't do it any different way."
The actress plays the Evil Queen in the highly anticipated fairytale adaptation, 'Snow White and the Huntsman.' Theron is next going to work on new romantic comedy, 'Young Adult' written by Diablo Cody and directed by Jason Reitman.
