Bee Gees' Robin Gibb Has Liver Cancer

Robin Gibb, 61, was diagnosed with liver cancer a few months ago and was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday.

The singer was discharged after five hours and his brother Barry Gibb and mother flew out to be with him.

An insider said of Gibb‘s health, “Robin is not good and there is a lot of concern for him. You can use your wealth to call in the best experts but sometimes no amount of fame, prestige and money can change things when it comes to cancer.”

The source said, “There will be difficult times ahead but Robin will never give up and his loving family will make sure he has everything he needs."

“There is frustration because Robin has always looked after himself. He doesn’t drink, eats well and exercises daily."

“But Robin is a strong character, he is a fighter and has been encouraged by all the online messages from his fans.”

The Gibb family has been through rough times in the past with Robin’s younger brother Andy Gibb dying at age of 30 after dealing with cocaine addiction. And Robin’s twin brother Maurice died at 53 after suffering complications from a twisted intestine.

Robin recently described Maurice’s death as “something I haven’t accepted.” He added, “I just imagine he is out there somewhere, and I will bump into him one day.”
