He’ll be back…eventually. Arnold Schwarzenegger is putting the brakes on his movie career.
The embattled actor, who announced his split from wife Maria Shriver last week, and is embroiled in a love child scandal, has vetoed any acting for the foreseeable future.
A statement from Schwarzenegger’s lawyer reads: “At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger, we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently under way or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice.
“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.”
Schwarzenegger announced on Tuesday that he had fathered a child out of wedlock with a former member of his staff.
“I fully deserve these feelings of anger and disappointment of friends and family. I have no excuse and I take full responsibility,” he said. “I ask that the media to respect my wife and children in this extremely difficult period. I deserve your attention and criticism, but my family does not deserve this.”
Hasta la vista, baby!
