Aretha Franklin has said she wants actress Halle Berry to play a younger version of her in an upcoming biopic.
Aretha Franklin, 68, has revealed her choice picks of celebrities she would like to play roles in the movie about her life. Franklin wants the beautiful actress Halle Berry to play her in the film.
Franklin would love for Denzel Washington to play the role of her father, the late C.L. Franklin, a prominent Baptist minister and civil rights leader. And Aretha would like Terrence Howard to portray star Smokey Robinson.
The movie will reportedly be based on her autobiography, “Aretha: From These Roots.”
In the press release, Franklin says the actors are “enthusiastic about the project and have agreed to take on these roles, subject to further negotiation.”
