Vegas tourists and residents will soon be able to ride the largest ferris wheel in the world.
The High Roller, a massive ferris wheel for which construction began in 2011, is expected to be complete this winter, according to the Inquisitr.
The ride is set to be 55 stories high and to be equipped with 1,500 LED lights. A ticket for the High Roller is expected to cost about $30, and the ride is supposed to last about 30 minutes.
Inside each ferris wheel car, which will be composed mostly of glass and will not rock in place, passengers will be provided an “audio-visual” show.
The High Roller is one of three ferris wheels planned to open in Vegas in the coming years, as part of a $550 million project aimed at appealing to younger tourists.
SkyVue, a 500-foot ferris wheel, is expected to open in 2015 at the south end of the Vegas Strip, and The London Thrill, is set to be constructed in the center of the Strip.
