World's First Married Lesbian 'Throuple' Are Expecting A Baby

Three married lesbians from Massachusetts are expecting their first child.

Brynn, Doll and Kitten Young – who claim to be the only “throuple” in the world – are expecting a daughter in July.

Brynn, 34, and Doll, 30, first met in 2009 through an online dating site. They had been together for 2 ½ years before adding Kitten to their relationship.

All three women married in August 2013, when each of their fathers walked them down the aisle, wearing white wedding gowns and exchanging rings, according to the Daily Mail.

The youngest of the trio, Kitten, 27, underwent IVF treatment with an anonymous sperm donor, and is now with child.

"The three of us have always wanted kids and wanted to grow our family," Kitten, who like Doll took senior software designer and engineer Brynn's last name because she is the main breadwinner, told The Sun newspaper of London.

The current plan is for Kitten to carry the babies, perhaps using her wives' eggs and donated sperm. However, they are open to other options, like adopting.

“The hope is to have three kids altogether,” Brynn says. “We always joke that the children should never outnumber the parents.”

According to Cosmopolitan UK, Massachusetts became, in 2004, the first state to legalize same-sex marriage. But polygamy is not legal so the throuple's marriage isn't officially recognized.

Despite this, these women insist their union is the real deal.

"In our eyes we are married. We had specialist lawyers draw up paperwork so our assets are equally divided," said Brynn.

"I cried watching Doll and Kitten walk down the aisle towards me with their dads. After we said our vows, Doll and Kitten kissed me first then each other," she added.

The three women insist their relationship is like any other normal couple: they share a bed together, eat breakfast with one another, and watch TV after work.

"The only difference is that communication is a lot more difficult for us than others. There are three people so our relationship takes detailed scheduling – everything we do goes on the calendar!" Doll told the Mail.
