Forget e-cigarettes, all the cool kids are getting high off the world’s first electronic joint and it’s completely legal, makers say.
Dutch company E-Njoint B.V. claims the high-tech spliffs contain no THC, tobacco or nicotine, making it “harmless and 100 percent legal,” according to the makers.
Instead, it vaporizes propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and one of six biological flavors including watermelon, passion fruit, green apple, and red cherry, the Daily Mail reports.
Ten thousand e-joints per day are currently being manufactured by the company in China and sold across Europe.
It’s designed to look like a typical joint, with a green cannabis leaf that lights up through the chrome plated tip every time the user takes a puff.
The latest model lets users fill the blunt with their own cannabis liquid or dry herbs.
E-Njoint is in negotiations with medical marijuana company Tikun Olam to help create health products.
“Holland is well known in the world for its tolerant and liberal attitude toward soft drugs and the introduction of this new product clearly makes a statement,” Menno Contant, CEO of E-Njoint, told Yahoo News. “As long as you don’t bother or disturb other people and stay within the legal boundaries, all is well.”
The e-joints are not yet available in the United States, but according to E-Njoint’s website, it can be purchased all over the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
