A Pennsylvania woman has filed a police report after being recorded while changing in a local Target dressing room.
The unnamed woman was trying on clothes over the weekend in a Montgomery County Target store when she noticed something strange coming from underneath the dressing room stall.
“As I bent down to pick up a shirt I noticed a small glowing pen like instrument. It was glowing blue,” the woman told Fox 29, adding that she was afraid and embarrassed to show her face on camera.
“As I went to grab it, it got snapped from my hand and at that moment I knew somebody was filming me on the other side of the stall,” she said.
The woman believes it was a man who was recording her. By the time she got dressed and got out of the stall to ask for help, the suspect was gone.
“This particular dressing room is separated men and women by a common shared wall, which is lifted about two inches off the ground,” she explained. “Enough that not only a pen but a cell phone could fit underneath and take a photo.”
The woman told employees about the incident. They appeared shocked and claimed the man responsible is a regular at the store.
“They also were completely aware of this gentleman coming in several times a week, never buying any clothes and just staying in the dressing room for long periods of time,” she said.
The woman filed a police report and Abington Township authorities are currently investigating the matter.
Another man was arrested earlier this month in Radnor after he was caught filming young girls and women in the dressing rooms of several area malls.
The latest victim is concerned that another woman will suffer the same thing she did.
“This just happened and with the heat of that in your mind and seeing it happen to you and you just feel like this is a whole new story beginning with me and maybe not ending with me,” she said.
Target released the following statement regarding the incident:
"The safety and security of our guests is a top priority for Target. We take these matters very seriously and we are partnering with local law enforcement on this incident. Because this matter is under active investigation, we are unable to share additional information. Please contact local law enforcement with further questions."
