Ohio Woman Runs Over And Kills Husband Following Domestic Dispute

An Ohio man died after being run over by his wife following a domestic dispute.

The incident occurred in Bloom Township, Ohio, around 9 p.m. on Oct. 4. Daniel Luke, 42, was run over by his wife, Angela K. Luke, 40, following an argument, the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette reported.

“There was some kind of domestic dispute that carried over into the driveway,” Fairfield County Sheriff Dave Phalen told the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette.

The couple’s daughters, one 12 and the other younger, were in the backseat of the vehicle at the time, and the father was abusive, according to the Daily Mail.

Angela, who claims Daniel was holding onto the car as she was trying to drive away, pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless homicide and aggravated vehicular homicide.

Phalen said he was not sure what type of vehicle ran over Daniel, who died at Diley Ridge Medical Center.

The couple's 12-year-old daughter had dialed 911 before Daniel was killed and told the dispatcher that he was hurting Angela. She also told the dispatcher that her father had been drinking.

According to CBS affiliate WBNS-TV, the child can be heard telling the dispatcher, “He’s hitting my mom and he’s pinning her to the ground! And he won’t leave her alone, and he’s yelling at her.”

A transcript of the phone call reads:

Dispatcher: Ok, so he’s physically hurting your mom?

Child: He’s pinning her to my bed and he’s making marks on my mom, and he’s like, and he’s not letting her through or anything.

Dispatcher: Ok, where are they, do you know what they’re fighting about?

Child: Everything! Get off my mother! (Screaming)

Moments later, when Angela and the girls are in the family vehicle, the child is heard yelling, "Go fast, Mommy!"

She tells the dispatcher her father was holding onto the car's window, but fell.

"My father's dead! My father's dead! My father's dead! Please come help, hurry!" the daughter continues.

Angela, a second-grade teacher at Tussing Elementary in Reynoldsburg, has been placed on unpaid suspension. She had been teaching there for at least 11 years, the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette reports.
