Prosecutors have dropped all charges against an Australian woman accused of orally raping a man after breaking into his home.
Rebecca Helen Elder, 39, of Parkside, appeared in the Adelaide District Court on April 18 and prosecutors dropped all charges against her for illegally entering a man's home and raping him by performing an act of oral sex on him without his consent, according toAdelaideNow.
Ms. Elder had previously pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated serious criminal trespass in a place of residence, and one count of rape. Prosecution documents filed with the court alleged both offenses took place at a suburban house between September 20 and September 23, 2011.
Prosecutors had claimed that Ms Elder broke into a house while its male occupant was lawfully on the premises with the intent to commit the further crime of rape.http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/crime/woman-rapes-man-after-breaking-his-home
Last month South Australian District Court Judge Wayne Chivell ordered Rebecca Elder to stand trial, during which prosecutors would allege she raped the man by performing an oral sex on him against his will.
Those charges were formally withdrawn at the Directions Hearing before Judge Milsteed on April 18. Ms. Elder's lawyer, Tim Dibden, declined to comment further on the matter.
