Woman Lights Cigarette During Flight (Video)

A woman lit up a cigarette on an American Airlines flight during a bizarre trip from Nicaragua to Miami.

The woman, who was caught on camera smoking, appeared to be speaking with an American accent. When concerned passengers flagged down a flight attendant, the woman blamed someone else for smoking and went on a strange rant.

“The United States has declared war on Venezuela,” the woman said. “Venezuela has been declared a national security threat.”

One passenger remarked that she was a national security threat.

Flight attendants warned the woman that police would be waiting at the landing if she didn’t calm down. Instead, she began to yell louder and called Hugo Chavez her great hero. According to eyewitnesses, the woman claimed that Obama kills people on Tuesdays.

“I know already the [police are coming to take me off the aircraft.] But before I'm arrested I'm going to say my peace,” the woman said. “They already say they are arresting me so I'm going to tell you more.”

According to the Reddit user who recorded the event, named “upside down dog,” the woman only had one drink on the flight. However, eye witnesses claimed that the woman had been drinking heavily before the flight and was also on prescription painkillers.

Smoking has been prohibited on almost all airlines since 1988. Passengers violating the law can be fined up to $5,000, and be arrested and detained upon landing.
