Woman Involved In Las Vegas Child Abuse Ring Gets Life Sentence

A woman who took part in a child abuse ring in Las Vegas for over a decade was sentenced to life in prison this week, with the possibility of parole after 10 years.

Terrie Sena, 43, abused at least eight children together with her ex-husband, Christopher Sena, 47, and his current wife, Deborah Sena, 50, at their trailer park home.

The allegations, which include child abuse and neglect, sexual assault of a minor, the use of a minor in the production of pornography, and incest, were described by Justice of the Peace Pro Tem Nancy Oesterle as “extremely shocking and disturbing,” The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. "That’s putting it mildly."

Authorities were notified about the abuse when Deborah, another adult and a child informed a lawyer, who contacted the police.

Christopher allegedly maintained a regime of fear in the home, forcing family members to engage in sexual activity with one another and with animals. He monitored the movements of the women and prevented them from making friends, according to one of the children.

“Our father is in jail, where he belongs,” a letter from the child to the Review-Journal stated. Deborah and Terrie “continue to be victims of the state. And the absence of our mothers continues to victimize us kids.”

The letter claimed that Deborah and Terrie were “good people" who were "beaten, tortured, threatened and controlled” by Christopher.

“Chris made me have sex" with one of the children, Deborah wrote in a voluntary statement to police, as reported by the Review-Journal.

“Ever since that incident, he has emotionally blackmailed me because of it,” she added, and “threatened to kill me if I sent him to jail.”

However, in February, a judge ruled that Deborah should face the 28 charges against her.

“The defense of duress does not negate a defendant’s criminal state of mind when the applicable offense requires the defendant to have acted knowingly or willfully,” Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa said in ruling that a jury should reach a decision on the charges.

Terrie admitted to one charge of sexual assault in a plea deal which led to this week’s sentencing.

Christopher and Deborah are due in court again, with many of the charges faced by Christopher carrying a life sentence.

His next scheduled court appearance is July 13, according to the Daily Mail.
