Although some conventional dating wisdom holds that snooping on a significant other is wrong, a woman didn’t listen to that advice when it came to her live-in boyfriend’s cellphone.
After 49-year-old Antonio Salinas left his phone at the home they share in San Antonio, Texas, his unidentified girlfriend uncovered a video of him allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, WOAI reported on Dec. 29.
After the girlfriend called police, investigators say they uncovered more videos of Salinas assaulting the teen. According to an arrest affidavit, in one of the videos Salinas can be heard offering the girl $50 for sex.
Salinas has since been charged with felony sexual assault of a child.
This isn’t the first time in recent months a woman has found evidence on a phone of her significant other sexually assaulting a child. In November, a woman in Plainfield, Illinois, found that her husband, 46-year-old Timothy Lane, had made pornography featuring himself and a child and recorded it on his phone, Plainfield Patch reported.
Lane was later charged with two counts of child pornography.
