A Michigan woman was startled in the middle of the night when a man broke into her home and tried crawling into her bed.
The woman awoke in her Rochester Hills home last week to find a man in her bed, according to police.
“I heard his voice. I wake up. I’m so scared,” the woman, who declined to disclose her name, told Fox 2 Detroit.
“He tried to push my blanket and I screamed,” she said. “I pushed him and I screamed ‘get out of here.’”
The woman took charge and tried pushing the man out of her house as he walked down the stairs. At the foot of the stairs, the man refused to leave. With a final push, the woman finally got the invader to exit her home.
The victim immediately called her daughter who quickly arrived at the house. Investigators also arrived with a canine unit, although the invader escaped before he could be caught at the scene.
The victim’s daughter said she was glad that her mother wasn’t hurt and that nothing had been stolen.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with information about the invasion and attack to contact the department immediately, Click on Detroit reported.
