Shocking surveillance footage shows a mom with her baby strapped to her chest being kicked down to the ground by a mugger in the Bronx.
The shocking clip shows the mom, identified as 24-year-old Odila Orozco, walking by a man who was previously shown on the street near Bronx Park Avenue looking around, presumably for a victim. When the woman walks by with her three-month-old baby strapped to her chest, the man proceeds to kick her in the back and knock her to the ground.
Thankfully, the mom seems to be able to shield the baby from the fall and keep her safe from harm, but as the woman was on the ground, the mugger grabbed her cell phone out of her hands and took off running.
Police have now identified the man as 18-year-old Alfonzo Brown, and they are currently asking the public for help locating him. Thankfully, Orozco and her baby were cleared after going to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
“Everything’s good,” Orozco told CBS New York. “My baby’s good and I’m good.”
Brown reportedly has a criminal record, having been arrested in the past for crimes that include possession of a weapon.
Update: He has been arrested.
