A Delaware County, Delaware, couple was arrested after police said they severely abused the woman's baby boy.
Natasha Moore and her boyfriend, Abdurahman Abdurahman, were arrested and accused of striking Natasha’s baby son’s head against a wall five times. The baby also reportedly had head trauma known as black brain, which is caused by being hit or shaken. The trauma was not accidental.
Authorities were called to Natasha’s residence on Jan. 13 after receiving a call about a juvenile being abused, according to The Delaware Gazette.
“I believe 100 percent that she had nothing to do with any of this,” Natasha’s father, Rodger Moore, said of his daughter, reported ABC 6.
Rodger said he was shocked to learn of the alleged incident at the hands of his daughter’s boyfriend.
“I've never seen any violence from him,” he told ABC 6. "He's always been a respectful and polite gentleman, and this whole thing has been very hard to understand for me."
Natasha’s father said his daughter, who also has an 8-year-old son, is a “great mother” who “loves her kids to death.”
Abdurahman appeared in Delaware County Common Pleas Court on Jan. 25 and plead not guilty to one count of felonious assault and two counts of endangering children, reported The Delaware Gazette. His bond was set at $400,000.
Natasha also plead not guilty to two counts of endangering children, with her bond set at $100,000.
