Woman Aspiring To Look Like A Barbie Doll Makes Drastic Change (Photos)

A British woman who underwent surgery to look like a Barbie doll and boost her confidence is now happily embracing a more natural appearance.

Jade, 20, said she was too insecure to even go outside without her Barbie look, which involved revealing outfits, heavy makeup, a fake tan, dyed blond hair and her G-sized implants, the Daily Mail reports.

“I feel terrible without it all. I won't go out, not even to the shop,” she once said.

When she appeared on a British television make-over show and received a rating of 1 and 2 out of 10 for her looks, she was shocked to realize her natural look may have been more attractive.

What’s more, she learned the clip-in hair extensions she constantly used had left her with bald patches.

She craved looking like herself again. So the makeup team, known as 100% Hotter, gave her a make-under.

The team replaced her revealing outfits with off-the shoulder dresses, removed the fake tan and more.

When Jade saw her more subtle, natural look, she was stunned.

“I look really different, I am shocked,” she said. “'I feel like an idiot looking at the old picture of me, what was I doing?”

Her mother, Kelly, was also happy to see her daughter look more like her old self again.

“I hope this shows her how beautiful she can look she doesn't need all that rubbish fake tan and fake hair,” she said.

Jade is not the first public figure capturing international attention for embracing a more natural look.

Singer Alicia Keys wrote an essay for Lenny Letter that went viral and sparked the popular #NoMakeUp hashtag movement.

The singer wrote of a recent photo shoot in which she felt the most beautiful wearing no makeup for the first time. It inspired her to encourage other women to accept their natural looks.

“I swear it is the strongest, most empowered, most free, and most honestly beautiful that I have ever felt,” she said. “I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing.”
