Wife Delivers Message To Cheating Husband With Giant Road Sign (Photo)

A woman in England publicly ended her marriage by reportedly exposing her husband’s cheating ways on a giant road sign.

The wife, identified only as Lisa, allegedly wrote the message displayed on a 15-by-10-foot digital advertising board for her husband, Paul, to read on his commute to work, according to MailOnline.

“To my cheating husband Paul,” the sign read. “You deserve each other. When you get home I won’t be there. Enjoy your drive to work! Lisa.”

The message was displayed between 6 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 23, according to The Yorkshire Post.

After other drivers noticed the sign and shared photos online, the story quickly went viral.

“This sign has appeared on the Parkway in Sheffield. Oooops,” one viewer tweeted.

“Saw the sign on the #sheffieldparkway on my way to work! Good for you Lisa!” another wrote.

Though some were suspicious the sign was fake, the owners of the sign company, Anco Digital, told MailOnline that it was real.

Sheffield disc jockey John Harrison said he contacted Lisa, revealing that she is “surprisingly fine” despite her husband’s affair.

“She’s burying her head in the sand a little bit,” Harrison told MailOnline.

According to Mark Catterall, whose advertising agency Kong Media sold the ad space, Lisa paid a significant price to shame her husband in such a big way.

“She just wanted it on during rush hour,” Catterall told MailOnline. “The Sheffield Parkway is always jammed as it is the main artery in and out of the city in the morning, and the client wanted on while her ex-partner was driving to work. It is the most recognized billboard location in the city, so I wouldn't like to be the partner scorned by this.”

He added that Lisa's request was the first he had gotten of its kind in the U.K.

"I know it has happened before in the U.S.," he said, "but she used the flexibility of a digital billboard, and I think it was an interesting idea by the lady."
