Singer Whitney Houston died in Beverly Hills Saturday. She was 48 years old.
Paramedics were called to Houston's room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at about 3:30 in the afternoon. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
MSNBC reports that Beverly Hills police found no signs of foul play or drug use. The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.
Houston had a long and public battle with drug abuse, as well as a tumultuous marriage to ex-husband Bobby Brown.
Houston was in town for Sunday's Grammy Awards, which will now likely be a very somber event.
