Whitey Bulger Found Guilty of Racketeering, Conspiracy
The infamous leader of Boston’s Winter Hill Gang, Whitey Bulger, was found guilty of committing 11 killings and a myriad of other criminal offenses on Monday afternoon.
For what it’s worth, he was accused of committing 19 murders in total. However, a jury did not find enough evidence to convict for the other eight.
After 16 years on the run, Bulger, now 83 years old, faces a potential life sentence.
The jury, comprised of eight males and four females, took five days to reach a verdict. Check out a full recap of the jury’s decision, count by count, below (via the Boston Globe).
