We report a tragic story out of Pflugerville, Texas, as an 8-year-old boy dialed 911 and told police that his parents were dead.
KXAN reports that 39-year-old La Kiesha Nicole Glass and 41-year-old Saladin McIntosh were fighting at their home. Glass allegedly asked her son to call police, but McIntosh refused to let the boy do so.
By the time investigators arrived at the scene, they found Glass lying dead on the stairwell with multiple stab wounds to her chest, and McIntosh lying dead in the garage from a gunshot wound.
According to World Wide Weird News, police believe this was a murder-suicide, alleging that McIntosh stabbed glass in a fit of rage, then shot himself in his garage.
According to neighbor Diann Fine, the couple argued constantly. “[McIntosh] came over and mowed and edged in the morning,” explains Fine. “So I told him I would make him some chocolate chip cookies.” But Fine says she witnessed Glass getting angry when McIntosh talked to other people. “She yelled at him continually, anytime he interacted with neighbors she was very upset,” says Fine.
The couple's son is currently in the custody of Child Protection Services. Police say McIntosh had previously been arrested after Glass filed theft charges against him.
McIntosh was an employee at the University of Texas at Austin. He had been working as a stagehand at the Frank Erwin Center for more than a year.
