One West Virginia man's post-job interview "feedback" might be one of the worst anybody's ever received.
After interviewing for a probationary police officer job position with South Charleston Police Department in West Virginia, the candidate wasn't just rejected -- he was charged with a crime.
During his interview with Sgt. A.R. Gordon, 21-year-old Tyler Ray Price revealed he had sex with and recorded a woman on his phone while both were drunk, reports WCHS.
While it's not clear how the revelation came up in a job interview, many social media users point out it is likely the truth came out during a polygraph, or lie detector, test.
Further investigations revealed that, although Price contacted the woman on the day of the interview about the video, she did not remember sleeping with him, WREG reports. The woman also denied giving consent.
Consequently, Price left his interview in handcuffs. Charged with second-degree sexual assault, the once aspiring police officer is now in jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Since then, news of the disastrous interview has been picked up on social media, being met with a variety of responses.
"I mean, how does that even come up in an interview?" questioned one man on WHO-TV's Facebook post about the incident. "Did he think it would be the cherry on top to land him the job?"
"Karma," added another reader.
Although Price was just an aspiring police officer, he wouldn't be the first pursuing a career in law enforcement to face rape accusations.
Former NYPD Sgt. Vladimir Jull, 39, was sentenced to three years in prison on March 13 for raping his ex-girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter, The New York Times reports.
"The defendant horrifically abused the trust of this family and engaged in sexual acts with a child," said Bronx District Attorney Darcel A. Clark, after Krull was convicted of the crime in January.
"It’s just despicable behavior, and he does it in the cloak of being a police officer,” Assistant District Attorney Astrid Borgstedt said during his sentencing.
Krull spent more than a decade sending many to prison before landing behind bars himself.
The now 16-year-old victim says Krull took advantage of her vulnerable state after her father died in 2012. Krull repeatedly assaulted her, at one point forcing the girl to perform oral sex on him after escorting her to a father-daughter breakfast at school.
"I used to feel like I had endless options," the victim said. "Now I feel limited."
