Officer Rescues Ducklings From Sewer Drain (Video)

A Milwaukee Police Officer went above and beyond the call of duty over the weekend by saving a group of ducklings from a sewer drain (video below).

Officer Mike Hill responded to a call on May 1 from an Oak Creek Parkway resident about a mother duck circling a drain, the Journal-Sentinel reports. The drain was near Mill Pond.

When officer Hill arrived at the scene, he discovered that several ducklings had fallen into the drain. That’s when he sprang into action.

Hill removed the iron grate, hopped down into the drain, and pulled the ducklings out one by one.

Rita Flores Wiskowski captured the moment on video. She posted the footage to Facebook on May 1, where it has been viewed over 75,000 times in just one day.

Hill managed to rescue all seven ducklings that were in the drain, the Journal-Sentinel notes.
