Disturbing Note Handed To Starbucks Barista

A Starbucks barista in Seattle was shocked when they read a note handed to them.

Unbeknownst to the barista, the man who handed them the note was a robber. The note read: "Have a gun. Give me cash."

Seattle detectives believe the robber is the same suspect behind a series of robberies in the Seattle area, according to KCPQ. Police are seeking help identifying the man before he commits another crime.

"We're talking about a guy that in our opinion, could be a former bank robber, because in every robbery, convenience stores, food place, a drug store, he's going in and he's presenting a note," Det. Myrle Carner of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound said. "But he’s always asking for simple cash and he lays out the denomination, that to me says this guy probably has been out robbing banks. Take a good look at him. We don't have a great shot of his face, but the clothing is distinctive and every case he's indicated he has a gun."

The man has been spotted on camera wearing a black hoodie, black rimmed glasses and a dark cap. Detectives say he is a black man in his 30's or 40's, around 5' 10" weighing around 240 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the man's identity is encouraged to call Seattle Police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the man's arrest.

The robbery at the Seattle Starbucks follows a similar incident at a Minnesota Starbucks location. Two armed robbers reportedly showed up at a Starbucks in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, demanding money. Witnesses say one of the robbers had a black handgun, WCCO reports.

The two robbers got away with cash in a paper bag, and police are searching for the suspects.
