NASA’s Antares rocket exploded not long after it was launched on Tuesday night. Although the rocket was unmanned, the damage caused by the explosion was described as “significant” by WKMG.
Six seconds after Antares took off, a brilliant light lit up the sky.
Originally, the rocket was supposed to carry approximately 5,000 pounds of supplies to the International Space Station.
"There was failure on launch," NASA spokesman Jay Bolden said, according to WKMG.
"There was no indicated loss of life."
