If you’ve been a teacher for, say, four decades, chances are there are a lot of people whose lives you impacted. Retiring Tennessee first grade teacher Nancy Flexer learned this firsthand recently.
When Flexer walked into Cole Elementary school for her last day of work, she wasn’t greeted by her usual students. Instead, she was greeted by dozens of people she’s taught during her career as a beloved elementary teacher that started in 1973.
