Though most waitresses are probably happy to take all of their tips home, Elizabeth Barlow, an employee at Margaritas in Clinton, Mississippi, is trying to return a dollar that someone left her.
The dollar bill read had a note written on it: “In memory of our son, Chance Formby. October 27th 1984 to August 6th 2011.”
Barlow posted a photo of the dollar to a Facebook group called “Real Talk ~ Clinton, MS” and the image quickly garnered the attention of hundreds of people, WJTV reported.
Though it’s unclear if Barlow has been able to track down Formby’s family, according to an online obituary at Tributes.com, his parents Danny and Robin Formby live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It’s not known if they actually left the dollar bill or if someone else got their hands on it and passed it off to Barlow.
Formby was a New Orleans native who was living in Kansas City, Kansas, at the time of his death. Although he worked as a sorter and hazardous material inspector for UPS, he was also “an avid Frisbee Golf enthusiast and was an artist and writer,” according to the online obituary.
