Video: Vandals Spray 'KKK' on Rosa Parks Highway Sign

Publish date:

In St. Louis County, Missouri last night, vandals spraypainted "KKK” in black letters across a sign reading “Rosa Parks Highway” on Interstate 55 (video below).

NewsChannel 5 in St. Louis reported that the same stretch of highway used to be a clean-up zone for the KKK, however, it was dedicated to Rosa Parks in 2005 following her death.

Parks, of course, was famous for refusing to give up her seat on a public bus to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. The incident is considered the birth of the modern civil rights movement in the U.S.
