Video Shows Baltimore Mob Attacking Innocent News Cameraman

The riots in Baltimore since 25-year-old Freddie Gray’s death have taken a violent turn. Rioters have turned to looting, burning and injuring police and bystanders.

At least seven police officers have been injured in Baltimore since the funeral of Gray on April 27. Yahoo also reported that police cars have been torched and store fronts looted as protestors throw rocks and bricks at police.

Unfortunately, violent mobs often have no discretion for their targets. A video posted by The Blaze shows a news cameraman being beaten by an angry mob at the Mondawmin Mall in Baltimore.

The video, taken from a helicopter, shows a cameraman being hit, thrown to the ground and kicked while filming the mob. However, he did not appear to be seriously injured.

The baseball game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago White Sox that was scheduled to happen at Camden Yards was postponed due to the riots. Businesses and schools in the city were closed earlier than usual to prevent further violence

MSN reported that Governor Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard. He also instituted a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew for one week.
