'Hudson,' a 3-month-old pit bull puppy, was recently given a prosthetic rear paw in Albany, New York (video below).
Hudson and two other puppies were found abandoned and starving near some railroad tracks in Arbor Hill, New York on September 8.
Hudson’s left rear paw had to be amputated as a result of the abuse that he suffered from his previous owner.
Dr. Tom Bowersox fitted the small prosthetic leg to Hudson's back leg and the puppy was soon playing tug-of-war with his sister, reports the Times-Union Online.
Dr. Bowersox, who designed and fitted the replacement paw, was impressed with how quickly Hudson walked on his new paw: “I can’t believe it. He’s walking on it, he’s sitting on it. I guess what amazes me most is that he hasn’t chewed on it yet.”
