Video: Kony Part II Hits the Web


A day later than expected, the second volume in the viral video campaign to raise awareness about African warlord Joseph Kony has made its way to the internet.

The new video has a long explanatory section that provides details about Invisible Children - the non-profit organization behind the Kony 2012 campaign. After delving into the organization's background, Kony 2012 Part 2 provides a brief recap of the situation in Uganda that implicates Kony's Lords' Resistance Army.

The narration only briefly touches upon the controversy generated by the original video. After Kony 2012 went viral, critics accused Invisible Children of oversimplifying the humanitarian crisis in Uganda. Kony 2012 Part 2 provides no direct response to that criticism.

The first video has been watched over 100 million times and the second part is likely to perform just as well.  See it below:
