JetBlue Captain Clayton Osbon was taken for medical care on Tuesday after a bizarre outburst during a flight from New York to Las Vegas (video below).
After screaming about a bomb, Iraq and Afghanistan, Osbon was locked out of the cockpit by his co-pilot and wrestled to the floor by passengers. He had also told passengers to say their prayers.
An off-duty pilot traveling on the flight then entered the cockpit and landed the plane in Amarillo, Texas.
JetBlue's CEO and president Dave Barger told NBC's 'Today' show on Wednesday (video below): "I've known the captain personally for a long period of time. There's been no indication of this at all in the past. That was a tough situation at altitude. The customers and crew did a great job."
The captain's wife, Connye Osbon, told ABCNews.com: "There are several different sides to every story. Just keep that in mind. I don't have a clue… I have no idea what's going on."
Reports say that Osbon may face criminal charges.
