Fox News ran a segment this week, which was sponsored by Walmart, that defended Walmart against workers planning a Black Friday strike (video below).
During the segment, Fox News' Stuart Varney praised a Walmart spokesman for "taking on" American workers.
Varney also asked if Walmart planned to fire striking workers and promoted Walmart's charitable efforts following Hurricane Sandy.
However, there was no mention of the workers' side of the story: low wages, bad working conditions and retribution by management.
Following the segment, Fox News ran a banner ad which said "this program is brought to you by Walmart," followed by an advertisement for Walmart's Black Friday, reports MediaMatters.org.
