The 'mystery monkey' which has been living in St. Petersburg, Florida for two years has finally been captured.
A wildlife official shot the monkey with a tranquilizer dart on Wednesday, reports CBS Tampa.
The monkey then fled into the woods, but trappers were able to grab it. The wild money was taken to an animal hospital for a checkup.
The mystery monkey recently bit a woman, causing trappers to ramp up their efforts to catch him, reports ABC News (video below).
Animal trapper Vernan Yates had been hired by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservative Commission to catch the monkey, but it wasn't known if he was part of the capture.
