Speaking to the 'Red Mass Group' at a Tea Party event in Lexington, Massachusetts on September 16, conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart assured his audience that "we have the guns" and that he sometimes wants to “fire the first shot” (video below).
He didn't say exactly who he was going to fire the first shot at, but referred many times to "they." He also said that "they" have Janeane Garofalo on their side and said he's sick of "union thugs... sick of [AFL-CIO head] John Sweeney and sick of the SEIU."
Breitbart said: “I’m under attack all the time. They call me gay. There are death threats. There are times when I’m not thinking as clearly as I should, and in those unclear moments, I always think to myself, ‘Fire the first shot. Bring it on.’ Because I know who’s on our side."
He added: “They can only win a rhetorical and propaganda war. They cannot win. We outnumber them in this country and we have the guns… I’m not kidding. They talk a mean game, but they will not cross that line because they know what they’re dealing with. ”
Breitbart claimed that “major named people in the military” will say to him, “Thank you for what you’re doing, we’ve got your back.”
