Vermont Man Charged With Murdering Daughter Allegedly Impregnates Her Mother

A man in Pittsford, Vermont, charged with murdering a 2-year-old girl now faces new accusations of fathering another child with the dead girl's mother.

Dennis Duby, 32, was charged with second degree murder last year after a medical examiner revealed that he squeezed his 2-year-old stepdaughter's head until it cracked, killing her in February, WCAX reports.

He was back behind bars recently after violating terms set out for him by the court.

Duby was ordered to wear a GPS monitor, which placed him under a 24-hour curfew.

The monitor later revealed that he had broken the curfew.

On top of that, Duby was also ordered to stay away from the 2-year-old's mother, Sandra Eastman. She was reportedly angry with Duby for murdering her daughter.

"I don't think there's a great enough punishment for him," Eastman said back in 2014, WCAX reports. "I really don't."

However, it would seem that she had a change of heart as a police investigation has revealed that she has been meeting with Duby in secret.

Officials have discovered that Duby attempted to contact Eastman on multiple occasions dating back to October 2014. The staff of the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility also revealed that he had been in contact with his ex-wife to police officers.

Their investigation also shows that Eastman is pregnant. They suspect Duby to be the father.

Eastman has faced child abuse allegations in the past and the couple has another child in the custody of the state.

As of now, she is five and a half months pregnant.

Duby is still awaiting trial for the second-degree murder of his stepdaughter.
