United Nations Criticized for Observing "Earth Hour"

Earth Hour is almost upon us, between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. in all time zones. The idea is to turn off your lights in support of climate change. Australia and New Zealand were the first countries to observe the symbolic dark hour, and for the first time, China will be participating as well.

This year, the U.N is also taking part, but it is not without criticism. Some are calling the U.N.'s participation "a gimmick" to influence world climate policy.
