One of the benefits of social media is that people can spread information very quickly. So when customers find something bizarre in their foods or drinks, they don’t have to go through the trouble of contacting a newspaper and having a whole story written up about it. They can simply post it to Facebook and let the power of social media take it from there. Generally, the stuff people find in their foods and drinks is bad – insects, glass, etc. But that’s not always the case.
Recently, an Imgur user posted a picture of what they found inside a Coca Cola bottle they got out of a vending machine.
Take a look (with narration from the customer):
What the hell?
Bought a Coke out of a vending machine, and this came out. What the hell is this? A used tampon? A dead animal stuffed in a coke bottle? And why are there quarters in the bottom?
I was confused for longer than I'd like to admit. I finally decided to read the label, and discovered I won a tiny stuffed polar bear!
Directions. You can see the $1.50 in quarters at the bottom of the bottle in the first picture.
Definitely beats finding a spider in your drink.
