UK Drug Dealer Sentenced To 16 Years For Lighting Woman On Fire
A man who lit a woman on fire after dousing her in petrol has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. The man, 28-year-old Mohamed Kosar, was reportedly also a drug dealer.
As a result of the attack, the victim suffered 24 percent burns to her body and face. According to the Mirror, her injuries could have been life-threatening if it weren’t for a neighbor that intervened by pouring water on her.
Newham Police Detective Inspector John Reynolds claimed the victim was brave for speaking against her attacker.
“Kosar is a dangerous individual who callously poured petrol over the female and set her on fire. She has suffered terribly as a result and I must pay tribute to her bravery in giving evidence against her attacker. I hope that his conviction will give her some closure,”
Kosar faced several criminal charges in addition to those related to the murder. He was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
