Two Men Allegedly Assault Man With Cerebral Palsy, Share Video Of Attack On Victim's Facebook Page

Two men allegedly stole a cellphone from a disabled man, filmed the assault on his cellphone, then taunted the victim by sharing the video on his own Facebook page.

Nikey Dashone Walker and Shadeed Dontae Bey, both 20, were arrested after allegedly attacking their 23-year-old victim, who has cerebral palsy, at his apartment complex in Pontiac, Michigan on Nov. 29, authorities say.

Authorities have not officially confirmed the identity of the victim, but Frankie Santana told WJBK he is the man who was assaulted, reports The Associated Press.

“Preying on those in our community who suffer from disabilities will not be tolerated and furthermore, to have the audacity to post their actions on the victim’s page is beyond belief,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said in a statement.

According to Santana, the two men spit on him and stomped on him, injuring his eye.

“I crawled through the hallway and knocked on someone’s door and that’s how I got help,” Santana told WJBK.

Santana said he had seen the two men before, but believes they sneaked into the gated apartment complex.

Investigators found the victim’s cellphone, which was stolen while he was inside his apartment, in the home of one of the suspects after they were told that the suspects posted the video to their own Facebook pages.

The two suspects were arraigned Dec. 1 and are being held on $25,000 bail ahead of their December 8 court date on charges including assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
