When Carmen Reategui was arrested for drunk driving on Monday, December 16 at about 1:45 a.m. in Readington Township, she called Nina Petracca for a ride home.
Petracca arrived at the station, and Patrolman Peter Serrone noticed she too displayed signs of intoxication, so he had her do a sobriety test. She failed.
Nina Petracca was then also charged with a DUI, as well as possession of Vicodin and driving while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, reports NJ.com.
Matters only got worse for friends' of Carmen Reategui when she called Ryan Hogan; also a friend of Nina Petracca who was to take both women home. When Hogan arrived at the station, Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro asked him how he got there, and he stated that he drove, NJ.com reports.
Hogan showed signs he had also been drinking, and failed sobriety tests, according to lehighvalleylive.com. Hogan was then charged with driving while intoxicated, joining Carmen Reategui and Nina Petracca in custody.
The outcome of the evening was a trifecta of drunk driving arrests.
Carmen Reategui, Nina Petracca, and Ryan Hogan were all released later to another, sober, adult. They are set to appear in court in January.
