TV Reporter Accidentally Gets High From Pile Of Burning Drugs (Video)
BBC journalist Quentin Somerville was filing a report from Afghanistan where a pile of drugs were being burned when he accidentally felt the effects of the narcotics.
“Burning behind me is eight-and-a-half tons of heroin, opium, hashish and other narcotics,” stated Somerville, who began to giggle (video below).
Somerville, a respected reporter who has braved gunfire in the Middle East, tried a second and third take, but kept laughing (also known as "corpsing"), reports Metro.co.uk.
Somerville reportedly tweeted the video with the caption, “Dear tweeps, it’s been a year of bullets & bloodshed. You’ve earned a xmas laugh, at my expense.”
The tweet was removed, but the video has gone viral on the web.
The Telegraph notes that the BBC said in a statement, “The video of Quentin corpsing, which has now been deleted, was posted in the spirit of a blooper. It was filmed four years ago - it hasn't been seen before and was never broadcast.”
