Jeanne Ouelette was trying on bras in a dressing room in a Kohl's department store when she noticed someone pointing a cell phone at her from underneath the partition.
While topless, but holding her hands over her breasts, Ouelette chased the alleged peeping Tom through the store in Lenexa, KS on Monday (video below).
“I followed him. I shouted, ‘Stop! Help me!’ I just screamed and chased him topless through the store,” Ouelette told WTVR. “I know I shouldn’t be chasing someone... I was just enraged. I was at a store in a very private place, and I was enraged and I wanted to get the phone.”
However, Ouelette stopped her half-naked chase at the front door of the store.
“Common sense took over and said, ’You shouldn’t go outside half naked,’” added Ouelette. “At that point, I just started crying because I was so upset that he was getting away. When you feel violated, what you really want is for justice to be done.”
The suspect, Jeremy Bradley, was arrested by police several blocks away. Bradley was brought back to the store where he was identified by witnesses, Master Police Officer Dan Friesen told The Kansas City Star.
“She ran topless after the guy,” added Officer Friesen. “She definitely got the attention of other shoppers.”
Bradley was charged with a misdemeanor of breach of privacy and could spend up to one year in jail if convicted.
