Patterson said the shooter aimed low and and shot his two uncles and a family friend in the legs, while the little boy was wounded in the stomach.

The father rushed his son inside, but said he did not realize the child had been shot at first.

The boy's father added that his family will move somewhere else once his son is released from the hospital. The three adults are reportedly recovering from their gunshot wounds at home.

Police continue to search for a suspect. Patterson said they didn't know the shooter.
