Three men and a woman are facing several sexual assault charges after forcing children as young as 4 years old to engage in sex acts with each other and with adults.
Police first learned about the sexual abuse on Jan. 16, WMBF reported. The assaults involved two young children. Four suspects were arrested shortly after an investigation was launched.
The suspects were identified as Panteleimon Nicolas Spirakis, 55; Anthony Louis Strickland, 46; Lindsey Danielle Honeycutt, 29; and Ambrose Edward Heavener, 36, WGHP reported. They are facing a total of 29 charges for incidents dating back to 2014.
All suspects were charged with two counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Honeycutt was also charged with engaging a child under 18 for sexual performance, first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years old, and incest. The incident is believed to have occurred on Dec. 1, 2014.
Heavener was charged with engaging with a child under 18 for sexual performance in relation to a Dec. 1, 2015, incident. He was also charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years old in relation to a Dec. 1, 2014, incident.
Spirakis and Strickland’s indictments included similar charges.
One of the incidents allegedly occurred at a Myrtle Beach strip club where Honeycutt was employed. Other assaults are said to have occurred at two different homes.
The children have been placed under the care of a guardian by the North Carolina Department of Social Services.
