A Redditor recently got what initially seemed like a very cool gift from his mom: this beautiful, well-made clock that anyone would be proud to display in their home. As he was admiring the intricate craftsmanship that went into every detail of the piece, the guy turned it over to look at it from a different angle – and that’s when he saw it.
Check out what was posted on the bottom:
It is no secret that prisoners are charged with making certain products during their incarcerations. Millions of license plates, for instance, are created by way of prison labor every year. People serving time have also been known to make lingerie, military gear, books and more. That is not the surprising part. The surprising part is that the prison so willingly offers up the personal details of the guy who made it – right down to the crime he was put in for.
It’s a little…off.
How would you feel if you were given a gift, looked at the bottom, and saw a sticker like that?
