Marin County teenager Max Wade, who was charged with stealing Food Network star Guy Fieri’s Lamborghini amongst other things, was sentenced to life in prison Thursday.
Fieri had left the car at a San Francisco repair shop in 2011 when it was stolen.
Wade was given 18 months for stealing Fieri’s car, 20 years for the intentional discharge of a firearm and finally life with the possibility for parole after firing multiple shots at his ex-girlfriend.
Wade was a juvenile at the time of the attempted murder, but charged as an adult. When police searched a storage locker connected to Wade in the shooting investigation, they discovered the stolen Lamborghini.
He showed no emotion during his sentencing Thursday, though he did thank the judge for giving him a fair trial.
“The sentencing is entirely appropriate,” Marin County Deputy District Attorney said. “The punishment fits the crime.”
Wade has currently served 731 days in prison so far.
