Denise Keesee, 38, has been charged with six counts of second-degree child abuse related to alleged sexual encounters with two boys (video below).
Keesee worked as a math and special education teacher at Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Ore., until she resigned in May.
She was booked into the Washington County Jail on Monday and held on a $120,000 bond.
"Some of the students she worked with were in a program for at-risk youth," said Detective Robert Rookhuyzen to KGW-TV. "These were young people who had come from broken homes, not doing well in school. And she was able to become buddies with them."
According to Rookhuyzen, the offenses date back to 2006 and the alleged victims are adults now.
Keesee's husband, Adam, is the school's police liaison officer, which might be stopping more boys from coming forward about sex with Keesee. He has since been reassigned.
The investigation into Keesee began in October 2012 after details about one alleged sexual relationship surfaced.
Rookhuyzen said that Keesee admitted to sex with several boys but stopped cooperating in the investigation.
