Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Teen She Lured To Her Home With Pizza

Christine Taylor, a 44-year-old language arts and social studies teacher at Jefferson Junior High School in Naperville, Illinois, has been charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy at her home on Jan. 1.

Prosecutors said Taylor invited the teen and his mother to her home for pizza, according to the Chicago Tribune. That evening, when Taylor and the teen went to walk her dog, Taylor instead allegedly took the teen into her bedroom and sexually abused him.

The teen’s mother witnessed the incident, and another resident in the house called police.

“While the victim in this case was not a student at Jefferson Middle School, Ms. Taylor, as a teacher, still holds a position of trust in the community,” State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement, according to WGN. “It is alleged that she abused that trust to take advantage of a young boy just to satisfy her own deviant sexual desires.”

It’s unclear how Taylor knew her alleged victim.

According to a statement from Naperville School District 203, the sixth-grade teacher was placed on administrative leave in addition to being banned from all district schools. Students will have counselors available when they return to school on Jan. 6.

Taylor's bail was set at $300,000 on Jan. 3.
